A got a call from the gorgeous make up artist Dave Reid who was interested in using some pieces from my current range in a shoot by the amazingly talented Lam Tran. I had recently been admiring both of their work so I was very excited to collaborating with them. The models they used are sisters and two of the most gorgeous beings I have ever seen.

rooftop glamour

Lifeline Canberra is turning 40 this year and to kick-start the celebrations they held a glamorous cocktail party at an exclusive rooftop location adorned with fairylights. Guests were treated to champagne, gourmet catering and jazz music under the stars.

The evening was a success raising over 5,000 from several auction items including a women’s designer package which included a designer bag, designer shoes and an exclusive design from s o f i a p o l a k

The funds will go towards Lifeline’s telephone crisis centre.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Natasha Roberts, the new Myer Face of Canberra Racing, on the set of her first City News Shoot with photographer Silas Brown.

I wanted to achieve a ‘Modern Classic’ style so I opted for an indoor location in contrast to the outdoor style shots that are usually associated with racewear and selected the glamorous Diamant Hotel foyer. Natasha and I ran around the Women’s designerwear floor of MYER and sourced contemporary dresses that were in line with the theme along with vintage inspired accessories.

the little black dress empire

I am very excited to announce that s o f i a p o l a k will be soon stocking at The Little Black Dress Empire website. The online boutique was co-founded by Juliette Knox and launched in October last year and since then has made it’s mark on the global online shopping scene showcasing both Australian and international designers.

I am in love with the concept of a website dedicated to an absolute wardrobe essential, the LBD and am really looking forward to featuring several black pieces from my new range alongside designers such as Talulah and Master/slave.
